Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely.
You don't have to carry it all on your own. I am here to support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.
Counselling in Kingston & Thames Ditton
I am a BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults and young people (16+), at my practice rooms in Kingston (KT2) and Thames Ditton (KT7), as well as online. I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, but it can also be an important first step towards meaningful change. Before training as a counsellor, I worked in the media industry for many years while also raising a young family in the local area. I understand the pressures of trying to hold it all together on the outside, even when things may feel difficult or uncertain underneath.
If you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling stuck, therapy can offer a space to slow down and make sense of what you’re going through. It can help you let go of unhelpful patterns and support you in building on your strengths and inner resources.
I have both personal and professional experience of neurodiversity, particularly ADHD, dyslexia and autism, and the impact this can have on daily life. I also work with young people (16+), recognising the unique pressures that can shape their experiences, including social media, the impact of the pandemic, and the challenges of identity, education, and relationships.
"People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, or relationship difficulties, or you might simply feel stuck or overwhelmed and want to understand yourself better."
For me, counselling is about creating a safe, confidential space where all parts of you are welcome without fear of judgement. Together, we can explore the challenges you face while also recognising, valuing, and building on your unique strengths.
My Approach
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches to tailor the therapy to your individual needs and circumstances. This might mean untangling past experiences, working through present anxiety or simply having a space where you can be truly heard and understood.
My approach is grounded in empathy, integrity, and a commitment to building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I am mindful of how earlier experiences may still be impacting you today, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, my role is to support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings, helping you to gain clarity, deepen your self-understanding, and feel more confident in the choices you make.
Alongside my private practice in Surrey, I work in counselling agency settings supporting adults and young adults with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, abuse and life transitions.
